Little Olive Tree
Childcare Centres that tell the story of God's truth, beauty and goodness.

Little Olive Tree @ Bukit Arang
Little Olive Tree @ Bukit Arang is a preschool that wants to tell of the story of God’s truth, beauty and goodness. We hope that every child that comes through our doors will grow to be like olive trees flourishing in the house of God, trusting always in His unfailing love (Psalm 52:8).
The mission for Little Olive Tree Preschools is aligned with Bukit Arang’s Church’s mission, that is, to move people towards King Jesus. We hope Little Olive Tree will be a safe space for children to grow and discover the gospel, to tell the story of Jesus and share his love for all to see.
Through our Truth, Beauty and Goodness programme, we hope to instil in children values such as grit, grace, grease, gratitude and generativeness. We believe that these values will serve them the rest of their lives.
We are excited to launch the first Little Olive Tree Preschool at Bukit Arang, where a new chapter of ministry outreach to those in this neighbourhood. God-willing, we pray that the spoken word of God will bear fruit in the lives of the little children.
“But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God;
I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.”
Psalm 52:8

Who will be running LOT @ BA?
The principal-designate is Ms. Daphne Goh. She has had 12 years of experience as an early childhood educator, 7 of which was spent at Presbyterian Preschool Services. Observing the children flourish and grow under her care motivates her stay in the Christian Preschool Ministry. As she grows in her knowledge and understanding of God, she hopes to lead the team at LOT@BA together in unity, love and respect.
She enjoys going for trampoline fitness classes and might decide to pick up hip-hop dancing soon! She looks forward to getting to know the community in Bukit Arang and desires to serve the children and the families while God calls her here.
She will also be supported by the Presbyterian Preschool Services HQ team in her endeavor.

Why the name “Little Olive Tree”?
In the Bible, the flowering olive tree represents beauty, abundance and fruitfulness. (Ps 52:8, Ps 128:3). It is also used to remind God’s people of the covenant relationship he has with them (Jer 11:16-17). It is also first mentioned in Scripture when the dove returned to Noah’s ark carrying an olive branch in its beak (Gen.8:11). Since that time, the olive branch has been a symbol of “peace” to the world.
It is our hope that Little Olive Tree Preschools become the seeding ground for children to learn of God’s love and pursuit for them, a safe space for them to grow in, and a place to learn of the peace and hope that comes only from God.
The process of making olive oil from the fruit is also a tedious one – repeated processes of bruising the fruits, pressing, heating and further pressing. We hope that LOT Preschools will be counted with Christ in his suffering as we press on in making him known to children.

Will there be other Little Olive Tree Preschools?

Little Olive Tree Childcare Fees Promotion
1. Is there a discounted fee that children from Bukit Arang Kindergarten/Bukit Arang Church can enjoy?
Yes! There is a $150 discount for childcare fees in the year of 2023 for children who were previously enrolled in Bukit Arang Kindergarten and/or are attending Bukit Arang Church.
I.e. Childcare fees are originally $1200. The fees will be $1050 for the months child is enrolled in 2023 instead.
2. There is a 10 + 2 promotion now (1st 10 months of enrolment payable, last 2 months free). Can the 10 + 2 promotion be enjoyed on top of the discounted rate for church members?
The promotions are mutually exclusive. I.e., only one can enjoyed.
3. What is the difference between the 10 + 2 promotion and the $150 off?
For the $150 discount, it applies to any of the 12 months in 2023.
For example, if a child begins enrolment in January 2023, the $150 will be applied from Jan through Dec. The fees will be adjusted to $1200 come Jan 2024.
If a child begins enrolment in November 2023, the $150 will still be applied for November and December. The fees will still be adjusted to $1200 come Jan 2024.
The 10 + 2 promotion only applies if the following terms are met:
-
Registered for enrolment by November 2022 (registration fee and 1 month deposit paid)
-
Begins enrolment by June 2022
-
2 free months will only enjoyed in the 11th and 12th months of the 12-month-enrolment duration
For example, if a child 1st month of enrolment is in April 2023, the last 2 free months will be the 11th and 12th month of enroment, i.e. Feb and Mar 2024. If the child withdraws for any reason within the 1st 10 months of enrolment, the free months would be forfeited as they are only applied in the 11th and 12th month.
